Blazing new trails

New Trails at Mountain Top Campground

We have built the first mile of our new trail system, this trail offers a different view than from the campground, on this trail you will encounter large fields of wildflowers, many different kinds of birds and large wildlife, the trail makes its way first through timber and then out on to the mountain side.  Mountain Trail walkWith such a wide open view of the valley many birds of prey can be found souring above the property.  some of the largest birds in PA have flew over the campground.

New for the 2017 season will will be offering walk-in tent sites. Construction is not complete yet, so please check back for updates or call for availability.  This site is truly for those who prefer to travel light and fast.  With no water or electric at the site you are roughing it for sure.  Rest assured however depending on the moon phase you will have plenty of light to overlook the valley and enjoy the stars. Coyotes have been heard from time to time.  These sites are 2 person Maximum. Fire pit, Picnic table will be on this primitive site.

This trail will also be our “off leash” pet area. Well trained dogs can be difficult when travelling. They are not used to being confined in the RV. Large dogs cant get enough exercise on a leash.

You are still responsible for your pet. If you can not control your pet do not let him off your leash.

Welcome Gas Field Workers

We have been getting numerous calls for extended stays through the winter.  We are open year around.  We’ll keep the water running and the power on all winter long.  We are very close to several well heads.
