Extended Stays

Whether it’s family, friends, or a temporary work assignment that brings you to Pittsburgh, Mountain Top is your home away from home.  Many campgrounds will place you on a very small site, with little space available to relax outside your camper. Our sites are quiet and spacious, featuring views few campgrounds near Pittsburgh can offer.  Yet we are just minutes from downtown.  Please check out our gallery for views from the Mountain Top.

Danelle sorry for the late reply, its been crazy around here with the holiday weekend. We have spaces available for long term rental. The rate is 550 per month plus black water pump outs. You have the option to be pumped as needed every Wednesday. We also have two sewer sites that will be available beginning June 1st. if you still interested please let me know. Again, sorry for the late reply

Do you have any options for Internet? I’m coming to the area for a mn of 2 months but needs a place that I can be on line for email & other work related.

    Hi Jim,
Unfortunately Comcast will not bring their up the mountain to us. The only access to internet would be through your cell service provider. There is a cell tower located about 1/4 mile from the campground. It is a Verizon 4g tower. We run the entire business off the cell network. Its fast enough for my daughter to watch Netflix. Down side is you pay by the Gig.

Please let me know if you have any further questions,

Any places to ride/board my horse near your campground?

    Hi Lora,
There are several horse stables in the area. However, we are not familiar with any of them. Since we are located so close to Pittsburgh, there is little public ground to ride horses on. The campground is on 50 acres, but its very steep ground. I think there are some horse trails at Moraine State Park. There are also campgrounds located with in the park. Sorry we couldn’t be more help.

Is the internet through the cell tower good at all of the campground sites, as I will need reliable internet access on a daily basis?

What TV stations are available, and are they accessible at all sites?

Do you know if DISH Network has been used for internet and cable TV services successfully at your campground?

    Thank you.

    Hi Bo
Yes the cell tower is located on property next to the campground. The internet service it provides is a strong 4g signal. It will stream HD movies no problem. You can count on about 20 channels when you stay here. Since we are less than 20 miles from Pittsburgh, we can get major broadcast networks like, CBS,ABC,NBC,FOX, and PBS are available in over air HD signal. There are many other smaller networks as well. Keep in mind you will need an HD digital antenna. Both Dish and Direct TV have been used at the campground with zero issues.
